                                Additional Groundwater Supplies - 2009
Potential sites for additional groundwater supplies for the City of Woodstock were identified in a previous study by IWC Ltd. The site of TW 1/80 was selected to proceed with further investigation.  IWS Ltd. was selected to drill a pilot hole at this site and then to construct, develop and test a large diameter test production well.  The pilot hole is now completed and we are currently in the well design phase

In order to address a water supply shortage in the Village of Tara, International Water Supply Ltd. Undertook a preliminary Groundwater Study to review the groundwater supply prospects in the area and identify target areas for investigation.  Test drilling was conducted at the preferred site and identified conditions which appeared suitable to meet the target capacity of 7.6 L/s.  A production well was constructed and tested at this site, which demonstrated a capacity of 9.8 L/s.  This exceeds the target capacity and is considerably higher than the existing well supplies

                                Hydrogeologic Investigation - July 2002
The objectives of this detailed investigation were to; characterize the hydrogeology, describe surface water features, assess the physical condition of the municipal wells, evaluate the source groundwater quality, determine if the well supplies were under the direct influence of surface water and if so, assess whether there was effective in-situ filtration to ensure disinfection processes would not be compromised.  The work program included an extensive field component, including installation of monitoring well, well field pumping tests and detailed investigation of the municipal wells.

A component of the work program included the delineation of the municipal well capture zones in order to defined Wellhead Protection areas.  This was done using simplified

Groundwater Investigation and Testing - Georgetown - 6 th Line Site - April 2001
This investigation program included drilling and construction of a large diameter test well, installation of 5 multi-level observation wells, and 6 mini-piezometers in area streams, ponds and wetlands, conducting an area domestic well survey, and undertaking a 7 day pumping test, followed by 2 days of recovery.  Water levels during the test were measured in a monitoring network consisting of 15 monitoring wells, 6 mini-piezometers, and 24 domestic wells.  The data collected was analysed and illustrated using a series of maps and graphs.  The report identified the aquifer characteristics, observed interference and impacts from the test, and estimated the long term sustainable yield and associated predicted impacts.  Some additional investigations were recommended to confirm the recharge characteristics to the semi-confined, channel type aquifer.
